Winter Warms
2 years 6days
Its definitely been a wrap up for winter day - which is ridiculous, given how warm it was yesterday afternoon! Katie has decided it is the season for hats, and is enjoying wearing them. I hope it continues when she really has to!
We've had a lovely day, her and I together all day. We've played with H&A today too. We all went to Montessori and Katie had a lot of fun. She ran of course straight to the paint table, and did a pumpkin sticking and painting. She then went to the salt dough and flour, spending ages playing that. Her and H dressed up as matching pumpkins, both with builders hats and cheerleader pompoms. I took half a birthday cake with us, to use it up, and everyone sang to her at song time. She went really shy about it. They were all starving when we came out so troughed every snack I could find, before the two littles fell asleep.
Aiden transferred to bed, Katie woke up (and didnt go to sleep, so is sat on my lap extremely sleepy at 5.45) We had an afternoon playing in, waiting for a collection that never came, but the Cousins popped over for a couple of hours which Katie loved a lot. We all played matching pairs with several different card games, the children carried on troughing, and then did lots of colouring.
We had one accident today, but it was a pretty spectacular one. But other than that, we've had all the wees and a further poop on the big toilet. I'm holding myself responsible for the accident though as I was making lunch so didnt hear her call out.
Katie's done some cutting practise since we came home, she's not really used scissors very much so has quite liked trying to work out how to hold them like mummy - not quite got it yet!
