Wish it was Sunday

I was driving back home along 5 miles of road dark for the most part but broken twice by the lights of small roundabouts.

I was just approaching one of these roundabouts, when I caught the movement at the side of the road. A small child? Surely not... Diving into grassy verge?

I put my hazard lights on and pulled over. I looked into the bushes and could see a small
Figure and I opened the door. I crossed the front of the car and made my way over cautiously to the child.

As I bent down and whispered 'are you okay' I realised that it was a life sized baby doll! I felt stupid! Children catching me out on Halloween.

I turned and made my way back to the car 'very good' I shouted! 'got me'.

As I fastened my seat belt I noticed a car which had just passed me on the opposite side of the dual carriageway almost bounce over the round about behind me and double back towered me. I started the car alarmed and made to drive off.

The driver headed towards me full speed lights flashing and cut my entry on to the road and pulled right in front of me.

I reversed quickly, pulled out around him, just as he started to leave his car and head towards me.

I watched horrified in my rear view window as he dived back in to the drivers seat, frantically gesturing at me.

I had no idea what I had done, but I wanted away fast.

I put my foot down and headed home. There was no other retreat between here and there!

Still he came, flashing his lights at
Me. I neared the exit and bounced off the dual carriage way, round the section that led to our estate, four miles and he had been at my back the whole way.

I reached our street, and hammering the horn screeched into the driveway praying my husband would come to the door before this lunatic caught me.

My heart lifted as I saw the Door open and my husband stand there looking very perturbed. He was even more anxious looking as I fell from the seat and ran towards him as the other car pulled in behind me, missing the
Bumper by inches!

I screamed at my husband - "he's chased me all the way along the road!!! He's going to kill me."

We both turned as the man in the car dove out of the driver seat, I flinched against Si, waiting for the attack I thought was coming.

But the man stopped at the car, pulled open the back passenger seat and leaned in; and pulled out a hooded figure dressed in black.

'I saw him climb in the back seat, as you got out the front - I was trying to tell you'; -and he leant in the car again and lifted a hunting Knife from Floor.
