Sunset on Island of Flores in Lake Peten Itza

Flores, a little island in the middle of Lake Peten, used to be the capital of the Mayan world in Pre-Columbian times.

It is an adorable island connected by a short causeway to the lake shore. You can walk around the island in ~10 minutes.
