CU Houseparty at Gartmoor House
After another hectic friday, with trying to finish off an essay for monday (and failing) and after being home to quickly pack everything needed, off I went to my first Houseparty with the Edinburgh Uni CU. Wasn't exactly sure what to expect beforehand so it was a bit exciting and daunting.
after arriving late (typical) we had a very interesting talk on Hosea, a surprisingly interesting book which I havent read before, and it made me look forward to the other 3 talks. Its amazing how God sometimes uses the small to illustrate very effectively the great and makes us understand what actually lies behind the anger of God at his people, but it also lets us marvel at his greatness in compassion and grace.
Although I dont like the large number of people present here at Houseparty, I am looking forward to the next days and hope that God will use this to challenge me and encourage me to continue my battle behind the facade of my life.
Also on the last 2 saturdays I had some really encouraging chats with an older Christian about different things and I'm glad to have found someone who understands how I feel out of place and unaccepted in this world, maybe because I'm so different in my multi-cultural background.
(also since I have no-ones permission to post a photo of them on the web, if they want me to remove it, I will)
