Fireworks
Second day of Houseparty,
Wth an early start (and only 4 hours sleep) with a nice personal bible study time reading through the first chapter of Ephesians and studying a commentary of it, I felt quite happy to take on the challenge of the new day (and strangely I was actually quite awake even with the lack of sleep).
Had two more very interesting talks about Hosea and how Gods great and justified wrath is not poured out on Israel but his grace will restore Israel. What I find so encouraging about Hosea at the moment is, that this same God is still among us, and although the God of the old Testament is often portrayed as a wrathful God, here we can see how full of love he actually is and how he choses to deliver us from his judgement. It really isn't fair and I'm glad it is so.
The afternoon consisted of a small walk with a group and chatting to different people, having fun setting of firecrackers, freaking out people about talk of swords knives etc. and chatting with a friend in a tree :-).
In the evening we had a ceilidh and I was "encouraged" to dance 3 of the 5 dances although I had planned to take on the role of photographer, well their fault then that there aren't as many photos.
The bonfire late at night was very nice and the fireworks were well presented, the picture is of one of the last few and I have to give a shoutout to my fellow blipper and friend melamny who reached 300 blips today, congratulations.
After the bonfire some people set about spinning a few people and making them collapse, it was highly entertaining so I joined in as well.
I later joined the wide game that was going on at the time and after it had finished I sat with a few people and chatted with them, eventually managed to get to bed at around 3.
