Felted Beauty

My very dear friend pushed this into my hand yesterday when I was leaving after a fabulous weekend with special friends.

This spectacularly felted and decorated hanging actually reminds me of the weekend past - deep and glowing autumn colours, a backdrop of glorious blue sky and jewels of seeds, leaves and sunbeams. I love it very much and feel so touched with the kindness behind the gesture. Thank you so much. I wish you could know how special this made me feel. x

I met my friend in the summer of 2006 in a most extraordinary moment in time in which our lives changed. There were 16 of us and few of us reverted back to the life we had lived in before.

Sometimes in life there are times that are pivotal, and meeting this dear friend was one of mine.

Today I spent the day shadowing our local social workers - a very intuitive day with such a lot of great insight into why we need to work so closely and how we can help each other. Loved my day there.
