Nestling Forks
Today has been what we call a "cat" day. That's an Irish way of saying that it has been howling with wind and the raindrops have been smashing off the window panes.
A very good day for watching the inauguration of our new President on television. A very moving ceremony and a fiery and erudite acceptance speech. Too much religion though. I am a Christian, but why oh why dod they have to roll out everybody to say their little prayer. We had reps from the Roman Catholics, The Church of Ireland (Anglican), Methodists, Presbyterians, Quakers, Judaism, Islam and even the Humanists. By the time they were all through the poor President was nearly asleep.
More television will follow in the evening. Big soccer game when the national team take on Estonia in the first of two play off games for the right to advance to the forthcoming European Championships. It will likely be a bore but who cares so long as we win?
That just about left time to raid the cutlery drawer for a quick blip of a pair of forks. That's all folks!
