Man in Red
Well the great storm has started. For the past couple of days the met. office have been warning us that the biggest storm of the year has been brewing out in the Atlantic and heading our way. Fearing the worst, I headed off early this morning to see who might pass through my window on the world. For an hour I sat in the car, seeing nobody. Like zilch! The news of impending doom had obviously spread far and wide and the local citizens were in no mood to go walking on a raised promenade with a boating lake on one side and the Irish sea on the other and not a bit of cover in any shape or form. I was reduced to shooting the local moorhens and the breaking waves which were getting more violent by the minute.... the breakers, that is, not the moorhens who were as placid as ever!!
I got back in the car, turned the ignition.... and just then this man, snugly wrapped up in a red parka strode around from the blind side of the lake. PLEASE, let him go up onto the prom! YES! There he goes BLIP, BLIP, BLIP!!! Three frames in quick succession and with that THE SEAGULL turned up. BLIP! Just time for one frame and with that the seagull was gone and so was the shot... right onto my memory card. A touch of a crop, add in my tissue paper texture and VOILA!... The Man in Red.
Happiness and joy abounds. Now I can concentrate on that website of mine which to answer the question posed by "cracker", will indeed be a photographic site.
