Sugarbush Mountain with Isabelle
So there is a big gap in my blips between the end of August and the beginning of October, between Vancouver Canada and East Coast U.S.A. Let me tell you where I've been...
Here we go, hold tight: Farewell to Hugh and Jane, big snowcapped Cascade mountains looking down from the plane, heading East, Montreal!, Michel and his spunky cat, Kinia and her hectic-fun life, 14 story sunset over the city, central park, bicycle rides through the streets and quite parks by the canals, coffee shops and homemade croissants in the bohemian district, beautiful woman, french, and...I love this city.
South by train into the United States, ferrying across Lake Champlain on a bluebird day, Burlington Vermont, a rented country house with Vermonter friends of friends, Katie and Brian's wedding, fun people, good food, abundant beer, gypsy music, frisbees, drunken hot-tubs, farmers markets, bacon and eggs, beautiful wedding and new friends.
Boston by late night bus, wake up in a renovated house, run in the park, wander the streets, and meet Joanna on the steps, like five years!, reunited, her birthday, drinks with her and Jules, oysters, Rhode Island and a hasty goodbye. Jump on the train south.
The little train station of Ashland Virginia, hugging my mom, familiar sights, sounds, tastes and smells, comfort food and comfort place, Mike's weddding, dressed up best man, worry about the weather, tradition and people, music and dancing, Richmond, long night and family, friend catch up back home.
Downtown Washington D.C., stressed driving, Isabelle!, Affinity Lab film workshop, animating and brainstorming, jazz lounges, gelatto on the street, Adams Morgan, life plans, big breakfasts, dancing, first taste of fall, pumpkins, cider, and a trip up Sugarbush Mountain Maryland...with Isabelle. This is me, this is us.
For now...
