Low Light ~ Weegieland!
I returned home to the west coast tonight to meet up with a couple of guys from college. Spread across the country as we now are, Glasgow has always acted as a central hub for these wee get together and so off I drove through the rush hour traffic to meet up.
Always good craic when we get together, even if our hell raising days are far behind us. Gone are the days of seeking out the loud music and happening venues in town (although to be fair, I don't really think we ever did that). Now it's a comfy chair and somewhere you can actually hold a conversation. Tonight we even sprung for a sit down meal in a proper restaurant, and jolly nice it was too!
We really need to do it more often!
A quick blip of the City Chambers in George Square. One of the iconic buildings of the city, construction began in 1882 and was inaugurated by Queen Victoria in 1888.
I keep forgetting how different the architecture of Glasgow is compared to Edinburgh. It is definitely one of these cities where you have to look up to see the best of it. It was just a wee wander tonight, but I'll need to go back and spend some proper time there.
