A copy of a copy of a copy.
For some odd, inexplicable, reason I've been unable to find a half decent shot of
''T'old folk''.
This morning we got our first Christmas card, in which the sender (Alias the Boatswine) said...
''Yes, yes, yes, I know it's way too early but...We're off to California for the Christmas period.....''.
He included a copy of a photo. It started as a Transparency (Remember them) taken ''...in the mid-seventies.'' This had been ''Digitised'' recently. He tells me...''he (The processor) provided the CD and mini usb stick with all my pictures''
So. What we have here is a photo I took, of a photo he printed, from a Dongle/Disc, in turn made from a 30-40yr old transparency.
The wonders of modern science eh?
There is a quote, floating around out there somewhere, to the effect that anything sufficiently technologically advanced would appear to be magic.
Mam died in 1986 and her Mam in 1957, what would she have made of today's technology? Considering her entertainment was a battery-powered radio about 18''X12''X14'', which Mam powered by dint of soldering a board full of twin-cell bike-lamp batteries in series to result in about 12V.
Just used up one of 2023 extras to see if it's any better with improved knowledge/ability.
