''Local Boy makes good.''

This is another of those I shoot from time to time, the cup that is.

Yesterday we missed another delivery, this time coz we were out, which beats knocking with a sponge hands down.

I ask you: who would use a parcel service with delivery hours like this...
''Standard next day delivery Monday to Friday 07:30 - 19:30 (We cannot offer a more specific time slot within these hours of delivery)''
At least you know the postman comes a.m. And with most folk you can pin them to a.m. or p.m.

So there we sat like a pair of spare ***** at a wedding for what seemed like a week.

Finally he arrived in time for us to go to the ''Egg factory'' for a dozen huge ones, (Double yolks virtually guaranteed), thence down-town for the joint for Sunday. Gaffer was having a less good day, so we stopped off at the Clickery for a seat and recovery, onward and upwards to the Butcher bloke.

I've tried to get a legible shot of the cup for some time now: always, for one reason or another, cast aside. Today it was so near cafe closing that Gaffer went for the meat while I did a quick thumbs-up thumbs-down and shrug at the cafe door. The response was ''Up''. Good job,we needed/deserved the brew plus Boss needed another recovery stop.

I ordered the coffee and went out to the butcher's stall. While chatting up Mrs. Butcher I discovered that the Plaque Read...

Since it said ''of the month'' I kinda thought ''Oh, local thing: better ask and check.'' It transpires it was National; I wouldn't have thought they'd do it nationally on a monthly basis.
Mrs. Butcher said ''Why bother? Nip down to the Herald office and they'll sell you one.''
I didn't much care for that after yesterday's photo of a photo of etc.
However with very little of the lady's persuasion he was quite happy to be shot at again so here we are, another one caught and done for.

I must add that he thoroughly deserves it if only for the way he looks after us.
