World turned upside down
A brisk walk to take a parcel to the post office and a quick snap by the river. There are many versions of the song World Turned Upside Down but I quite like the images that this little verse conjures up. Tradition has it that when Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown in 1781 the British played this tune but there's some debate as to whether or not that's myth or fact:
If buttercups buzz'd after the bee,
If boats were on land, churches on sea,
If ponies rode men and if grass ate the cows,
And cats should be chased into holes by the mouse,
If the mamas sold their babies
To the gypsies for half a crown;
If summer were spring and the other way round,
Then all the world would be upside down.
