Flickering Candles

Hanukkah candles, candles of peace,
Candles of prayer,contentment increase.
Candles of hope for each one of you,
Christmas candles, and those of comfort too.
Candles in the window shining ever so bright,
Candles of love and romance, oh what a sight.
A candle that is lit for a very special friend,
Whose friendship you know will never ever end.
A candle for those who are no longer here,
Reminds us of them and why they remain dear.
The Lord's candle burns so brightly now,
In candlelit churches humbly we bow.
Candles of faith and great inspiration,
Flickering candles, showing salvation.
There are candles of hymns, candle of praise,
Candles of peace on earth and hymns we do raise.
Christmas Eve candles, dim candlelight
Soft flickering candles, shining tonight.

Candles, candles have the power to light up the world.

My candle will burn brightly each and every day,
For my children Fraz and Lisey, soon on their way
Home, to join us for Christmas,our favourite time of the year
But sadly, not all of our precious family will be here.
My gorgeous daughter Leo will be far across the sea,
Also her Scottfish and Lisey's Mikey, who mean the world to me.
So we will keep our candle burning , flickering in the night,
Hoping that our missing three will have a Christmas that is bright.
