Elena Sings The Blues
The task of choosing which photo to use from Boogie Chirren's gig was made much easier by having chosen the Fire Juggler photo from yesterday.
This meant I could only choose from the very end of their gig which slipped past the midnight hour. Elena was merely guesting for a couple of songs w/the band, but she has a great set of lungs on her and a wonderful stage presence.
A really, really great night of music. They are a fine bunch of bluesmen (and woman). It was also the 1st time I used the 50 mm lens and I loved it. Even if I got sucked into to trying to get everything at 1.4 f-stop, which I now realise is not the way to go.
But I'm loving the process of learning and it's the same w/the labour of love that was post-processing the photos and learning quite a bit about Photoshop in the process. It sure was tough trying to minimise the the effect of the super-strong red lighting.
Next time will be better, but I was still more than happy w/a lot of what I shot. You can disagree here, where I posted the PHOTOS.
