Reconnecting With Alex

The day before break is always great. Of course, our math teacher spent forty minutes going over two SAT questions and yelling at us for making stupid mistakes on our test we took yesterday. She kept repeating how we should be so grateful that she didn't take off more points....jerk. In English we watched the last part of To Kill A Mockingbird. I roamed the halls in orchestra and took four bagels from the band room. We made smores over the Bunsen burners in chem and played Clue in bio. The boys suffered a crushing defeat against the girls in European Jeopardy. We relaxed some more in research before the entire school was forced to evacuate a period early for our emergency evacuation school. That meant no track practice, but the distance guys ran anyway. After a lot of time was wasted in the parking lot, we went for an easy four with a 6x200 thrown in at the end. Then I came home and I've been at the computer ever since. I didn't even eat dinner. Add that to the fact that I didn't have breakfast or lunch either, and that makes me one hungry kid.

I've been talking to Alex for about an hour now and he needs to come back to public school. Right. Now.
