In the Spotlight

And lo the Christmas sun reflected perfectly over where Lord and Lady Findhorn were sitting in paper hats, pulling crackers and swilling gin amongst tinsel and wrapping paper.

Actually it's all a lie. It has been a very abstemious Christmas so far.

We went for breakfast to the new Marriott Hotel which has opened on our doorstep and were quite overcome when the manager waived the bill as his Christmas present to us. Sometimes people surprise you in the most unexpected way.
I know the cynical amongst you will be thinking, what are two breakfasts to a large hotel chain, but we thought it was a lovely Christmas gesture.

We have been in contact with our children in all corners of Britain, Oman and Hungary, and watched videos from them on Facebook- always a tear jerker for us oldies living so far away from them.

Our Glasgow 3 year old was still asleep at 10am when I phoned, having been up till midnight last night singing 'When santa Got stuck up the Chimney' in her bed. I blame the other granny who is staying with them!

We've both been out for a walk on the wild side bent into the wind but wearing minimal insulation in the Mediterranean temperatures, but are happy now to stay indoors and prepare our meal and watch a bit of television.

His Lordship joins me in wishing all you lovely people out there a Happy Christmas and a joyously blipfull 2012!
