up please
I'd been intending to try and get some sort of exercise at some point today and it ended up being taking the boy for a trundle up round Abbeyhill, along the Cowgate then back through town via the Mound whilst he had his afternoon sleep. He woke up fractionally too late to see the most woeful example of hipster affectation (on a journey fairly packed therewith) in the form of the nerk who could barely walk for the strangeness of his shoes and trousers and barely see for the impracticality of his full-face solar spectacles. Lots of the people still wandering east-west through the town centre seemed to be there for touristic rather than shopper reasons but the story may have been different at the out-of-town(-centre) outrigger retail nuclei to which people apparently feel they have to use on the alleged grounds of it being supposedly easier to park there, though not easier to leave.
