A Delicate Job
We are decanting the 1963 Quinta da Noval port that we will drink later this afternoon. It's a delicate job, worth performing carefully since this old port is delicious, and still seems to be in peak condition.
Here we see the job done, with the port in its decanter, and the other wines for the Christmas Lunch alongside. For my relatives in the USA who wish to know, they are
2002 Eusenheimer Spätlese
2004 Pouilly Fuissé Thibert
1993 Clos du Clocher
2009 Burgenland Beerenauslese
1963 Quinta da Noval
The Clos du Clocher is a good Pomerol that went well with the roast goose being carved here.
You might also like to see a photograph of our small Christmas tree with the presents around it before the latter were distributed to their recipients.
A very good Christmas so far, with excellent food, wine, presents and, above all, company.
We hope all those reading this entry are enjoying their day.
Happy Christmas again.
