Marylee Reflected

We arrived in Munich late this morning, after an overnight flight from Boston.

After a recovery nap we headed out to a marvelous exhibition at the Kunsthalle der Hypo-Kulturstiftung (supported by the Hypo-Bank) on German portraits. It emphasized Dürer, Cranach and Holbein but included many more minor artists from the period 1480 to 1540 or so. It was the key factor in our choosing to visit here, and it not only exceeded our expectations but also dovetailed wonderfully with the show of Italian Renaissance portraits we saw in New York last week (more here, with a link).

Leaving the exhibition I saw Marylee reflected in a large window with a tree and building outside. A bit weird, but I find it fun, and it certainly fits in my series of reflection blips. (I finally got to it from the German keyboard in the hotel lobby--internet from the room costs 22 Euros per day).
