Some Days

Creels

Dunbar Harbour, East Lothian.

I filled the car with all the Christmas cardboard, paper, and other various packaging this morning and took it to the recycling centre.

On the way back I went down to the harbour, partly to have a pleasant half-hour at the harbour, partly, it must be said, to avoid the visitors.

Not that there is anything wrong with J and M, but not this morning, eh?

I took another sunrise photo from the back garden at 8:15, but didn't blip it for fear of becoming typecast, after yesterday

So, it has rained heavily and constantly this afternoon, meaning no planned excursion to the beach. I am quite pleased with this one though.

Can you spot the new creel.

Big baskets

Creel, in this instance, refers to the lobster pots used locally. Lobster and crab fishing is now the only real fishing done from Dunbar and many other local harbours. Most of the catch goes abroad.
