The Little Artist

It takes a certain wisdom
to help a child to grow
There are times we want
to intervene and let
adult "know how" show
For a child the worlds
a delightful test.
At times they struggle,
at times make a mess.
If we love them, guide them
and let them be,
We nurture individuality.
Life is like an empty canvas,
so vast and so grand.
We must supply
our children the paintbrush,
but we should not move their hand.
