Roosting...
Another storm has swept across the country, the high winds leaving destruction in their wake, and thousands of people without power. This must be one of the windiest winters we've experienced for many years. We've been lucky that there's been no significant local damage.
I sheltered indoors this morning, report writing and catching up with a few domestic chores, now that the festive season's well and truly over. To be honest it's been quite nice - you can have too much of a good thing!
The wind and squally showers eased after lunch and I took the dogs for a breezy walk down to the river. As we headed back to the car the sun was hanging low in the sky, and the various waterfowl were flying in to roost on the Rowing Lake.
Thanks you all so much for yesterday's birthday wishes. You're all so kind :)
