Dinner Show

The sky entertained us all through this evening's dinner. Several times I had to excuse myself from the table to get a variation on the angle. The sun was down for a long time before the color had vanished.

We've had a wonderful day. We drove a few miles north to the next community, which is Oceanside. It is the home of world famous Camp Pendelton. We parked the car in a covered parking structure and left the 3 pups for a short time while we had breakfast. Then it was back to get them and we walked along the sand for what seemed like a couple miles. When we got back to the car everyone was worn out relaxed.

Our afternoon was lazy. Then evening came early ,and it arrived in spectacular color. We wanted to eat early, but honestly it was difficult to eat because the sky was such a commanding distraction. Way off the coast we could see an island and we were pretty sure it was San Clemente Island because we are too far south (we think) to see Catalina.

Tomorrow this winter vacation continue and will be a new adventure. We think we'll be changing locations, but we'll know for sure when we check-in here tomorrow evening.
