Driving Force

An update on yesterday ....... The bat had some moths and a young stick insect as well as some water to drink during the night and was certainly showing more signs of life this morning.

We took it to the local zoo/animal sanctuary and they contacted a licenced bat handler who was coming to collect it and look after it until it was fit for release.

NOTE - it is illegal to even touch a British bat without a licence and we made sure that it was touched by only one person and only once while the hook was removed which was deemed acceptable in the circumstances.

This guy was keeping a close eye on us to make sure all the rules were adhered to.
