52 years later

Can you believe it? We bought our 52 year-old tractor recently and via the internet I have managed to track down an original owner's handbook. It looks as though it's never been opened and every page is spotless.

Our 357 day-old Hotpoint tumble dryer has, unfortunately, popped it's clogs just as we can no longer claim on the guarantee. Why isn't everything made to last like it was in 1960?
