Day 16 - Fox Glacier
On the home stretch of our New Zealand adventure now.
After yesterday's complete washout we managed to see both Franz Josef and Fox glaciers this morning.
Today's blip is of Fox, I'm about 1km from the snout of the iceflow and the meltwaters flow down the valley on the right.
The No Stopping post is there for reasons written on the red warning sign. They include flooding, glacial surge(?) and large rocks falling down the valley walls.
I didn't hang around too long!
Have headed down and across the Southern Alps to spend two nights in Queenstown. Off to Milford Sound tomorrow.
