Geese
I knew that a walk around Greenbooth Reservoir would yield a blip today. I have photographed this view many times, at different times of year, each with their own colours. Three unchanging features are:
1. The lonely house;
2. The odd, almost complete, causeway between the two parts of the reservoir;
3. The Canada Geese on the water and around it.
This is three miles from the centre of Rochdale. The Reservoir was built in 1961 at a cost of £2,101,000. The remains of the village of Greenbooth lie below the water.
