Exploring Brooklyn

Having slept, I woke up full of energy. And in a very good mood! Ah, what 6 hours of sleep will do to a girl!

Decided to go explore Brooklyn a bit. The plan was to come back to Manhattan by the Brooklyn bridge, but by the time I got to the bridge, I had been walking for a few hours and needed to eat/sit/drink coffee. So I came back home.

You can see the new Tower 1 (formerly known as Freedom Tower, until people started thinking that it made it just a tiny much too symbolic), and the new Frank Gehry apartment tower, another one of my favorites. The Gehry building looks a bit alone, since it is much higher than the other towers of that part of old Manhattan/New Amsterdam, but I love the movement that shapes it.
