Gargoyle

Gargoyle, one of a pair,
found when we moved here
nine years ago last fall.
Where did he come from,
who carved him, where?
He looks rather friendly
gracing the stable yard wall.
And some mornings
when I wander up there
I think he is raising
his right eyebrow
with a slightly flirtatious air.
