This lovely girl will be dancing with my daughter for a Chinese New Year celebration event in Edinburgh tomorrow. They have worked together before for 'Enclosure 99', and last year's Chinese New Year dance. So it is with a touch of sheepishness that I describe this as the first decent portrait I've taken of her. The funky background are bits of a Chinese Dragon, which I hope will make an appearance tomorrow.

Her Dad was with her at the dress rehearsals today and he was suitably impressed: apparently it's also the most she has smiled in a photograph for a long time!

The rehearsals themselves went well. Now to persuade my daughter to get a good night's sleep.
