Joint meeting of the Beavers and Cubs this evening for a full on Burns supper, including haggis, chappit neeps and bashit tatties, a piper, addressing the haggis (complete with translation), Selkirk grace, kilts, trews and plenty of mucking about!

Of course, no whisky whilst at Beavers and Cubs (nor sharp knives come to mention it) so time for a quick dram once home. I could really do with a slightly nicer sgian-dubh; this one has a good blade but nasty handle and scabbard.

As I don't really consider myself a Scot I find it a bit surprising that these stereotypically Scottish traits appear every so often...
