Blueberries

Dear Heart,
The daffodils Siân gave me woke up earlier than I did, stretching their limbs and raising their heads to don pretty yellow bonnets. They beckoned me out of bed and smiled all day, despite the rain.
Siân came over to watch the end of The Sound of Music, and I believe I saw her shed a little tear! We went for a walk by the clock tower as it chimed midnight, the witching hour, and I wore my new brogues and plum coat. Small pleasures...
