Katie did well this morning - she woke up at 4.45, had some milk and at 5.05 decided she wanted to get up. Quite loudly. But I gave her a cuddle and explained it wasnt time to get up until the music came on (the radio alarm, set for 6.30). She looked at me as if to say "oh, you're right", said "have a cuddle", lay on my chest, cuddling in tight and went back to sleep until 6.45 - by which point I'd turned the music off (oops). When she woke, she went off to play with her friends for a bit, went down to Sarah, then came to me at 7.30. "Music on now, Mummy. Maybe please may I get your dressing gown and Mummy go downstairs".

Not long after I'd got her dressed, she asked to go outside. She had a lot of fun on her balance bike, she's really enjoying it now and is getting the hang of gliding along on it. She had a scoot too, played with her ball and her hula hoop.

Despite a lovely start to the day, she was really rather upset to be taken to nursery. Like she's not been for quite a long time. Eventually I managed to convince her, by giving her an "ellie" - read random fabric item which she snuggles, today it was a vest, yesterday it was a tshirt, some days its a dolls babygrow, as well of course as Monkey. So she'd settled before I left her and no doubt will have a lovely day.
