Rainy grey day today and it was a quick blip on the way back to the house trying to dodge the squalls. These hydrangea seem to have death and life happily and beautifully cohabiting in one bloom.

I needed to get home and get on with organising the house for the upcoming visit of Ma n Pa later in the week. Plenty of cleaning, tidying, ironing and re-organising going on, gotta pass muster with mother! I'm really looking forward to seeing them. I have strict instructions from them....no whizzing about organising visits and setting agendas, no , we are to 'hangout' natter, eat and enjoy each other's company. How fantastic they are.
