Today's the day ............................... to inscribe

This inscription on a marble slab on the floor of the Lady Chapel in Ely Cathedral made me smile today. Apart from the date - it might well be very approriate for me one day!

I wonder who this Mrs W was? It's likely she was one of the good citizens of Ely because at this time, the Lady Chapel was used as the Parish Church of the town. But why she was restricted to just an initial, I'm not sure? The stone is tucked away in a corner - but there is plenty of space elsewhere.
