Fridays with Merrick...Chap. 22

I started my babysitting morning at 9:30. The little man was still asleep. He woke up at 10:00, just in time to watch hour after hour of Sportscenter coverage leading up to the Superbowl.

I thought I would ask him a few questions about the big game. "Who do you think will win...the Giants or the Patriots? "Goo-Goo." I took that to mean the Giants. "Which commercials are your favorites?" "Gaa-Gaa." I took that to mean he likes the E-trade babies." "Which quarterback to you like...Brady or Manning?" "Paa-Paa." Awwww...I can't believe that he thinks I'm better than either quarterback.

I think...as a form of protest...he climbed into his toybox, and started winging toys out of there like he was Joe Namath. "Please don't make me watch any more of this stuff!!! I'm 15 months old!! I don't care about the STUPORBOWL!!!"

I turned it to Mickeys Clubhouse. Minnie was in search of a Hula Hibiscus, a flower that only blooms once a year. What an adventure! The song of the day was "Clap, clap, (Clap, clap), Snap, snap, (Snap, snap),...it's time to check the Mouska Map. Now...I can't get it out of my head.

After some Cheerios and bananas, and some Philadelphia cheesesteak pizza...the little man took a 2 hour nap. I think the episode in the toybox tired him out.
