a load of old cobbles
The snow settling on the cobbles reminded me of the bleak Bill Brandt prints highlighting wartime austerity.
It was an attractive technique, back in the day, to use grade 5 bromide paper to achieve high contrast prints, and over-developing thin negatives shot in low light to get that grainy effect was all the rage.
