Ralph

This is Ralph, the black-and-white cat, who lives next door.

We live in Greendale. For those of you who have children, you will remember Postman Pat and his black and white cat. We moved here when our two boys were nearly 4 and 7, so it was very topical. There have been several black and white cats over the years, but we have never seen Postman Pat!

Behind Ralph is the devastation caused to our fence after the strong winds a few weeks ago. The fence was already past its sell-by date and was being held up by lots of ivy and other plants which had grown through from next door. In the wind, it jack-knifed, but still stoood up apart from the section which went behind Ralph which is next to the house.

As we are on the end, responsibility for all three fences (we have a wall on the other two) is ours. The current fence was put up between us and a previous neighbour, but this time we will have to replace it, which is ok as our present neighbour cannot afford to do it. However, she does work at B and Q so if we get the fence panels from there we will get a discount.

Ralph likes sitting on our table between the two chairs, as he lives with him mum, Ash, and two dogs, Reg and Ronnie, an unlikely combination of a yorkshire terrier and a brown poodle and named after the train robbers! Also the two grandchildren visit and make a lot of noise (as kids playing do) so he comes into our garden for a bit of peace.
