Mean Machines..........

I went into town this afternoon and saw these two red shiny 'bikes.'

Great, I thought, a good blip for today.

As i was taking the last photo, the owner of the large bike ('trike') he told me, appeared. He didn't look very friendly so I explained that I hoped he didn't mind that i had taken photos. I know I should have asked him first - but he wasn't there! He had popped to the loo.

So, being me, i thought i would have a conversation about the bikes. I had noticed they were both Hondas, which was a good start.

I think he must have thought 'what does she know about bikes?' Well, not a lot, but i do know some things as i like them. After all, any smart vehicle that is capable of going fast is fun, in my eyes.

The conversastion then went to: Are both these bikes yours? No, only the big one.

Ok, then. That is some machine you have got there. Looks like a three-wheeled car with no top on! Whoops, this was the wrong thing to say, and by then i was digging myself into a hole.

No, he said, it is not a 3-wheeled bike either, it started out as a 2-wheeled motorbike and it is now a 3-wheeled trike! I then redeemed myself slightly as I noticed the big poppy on the handlebar, and he said he is there quite often as he collects for the Poppy appeal (it is February?) all year round, obviously. I quickly gave him some money for the collection.

I said thank you very much, and bye............... I will give him a wide berth if i see him again.
