This Hellebore has been flowering for the past six weeks and has been photographed several times as standby blips in case of emergency, but each time something better came along.

It spent 10 days covered by snow and was rather bedraggled when it emerged earlier this week, but is perking up now.

Good start to the day with a text from Daughter no1 & only to say that she had just landed at Heathrow from New York?.will get a chance to catch up with her on the phone this evening.

This afternoon plan to tidy up in the garden was abandoned when it started to rain and was too blooming cold. So a cup of coffee and a session watching the indoor athletics from Birmingham was much more enjoyable. Good to see the GB athletes prior to the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul next month.
