Saturday started with a flood of texts on my phone, photos of mum's birthday party. As we were waking up, she was just blowing out the candles on her cake. It looked a good do and we were very sad to miss it.

When it rains here it really rains. Today it rained like mad and we went out to the shops (we could have bought a double kayak, snowshoes and a touring bike all from the same place). I'm a bit ashamed to say that lunch was from Fat Burger, now what was it I was saying to Andy just this morning about my new 'healthy eating' plan?!

With newly re-waterproofed jackets we feel safe to go along to the pub irish bar this evening and meet a friend.
