Big Tree....

A friend of mine has lent me an extension tube and a ring flash, so as I looked out on the cold morning; I though some nice close ups of frosty leaves. I drove twelve miles to my first job and within that distance the temperature rose by five degrees! No frost and my Blip plans were scuppered.

So here's a very small bit of a very big tree. I have always thought it was a Wellingtonia but having just done an image search I'm, now, not so sure....the general shape and size is right, just not sure about the leaves....is there anything else that grows that big around here?
