Busy hands

Mrs McDougal is producing her best menu for the dinner party tonight.
Betty, Maggie and wee Maisie are helping .
There are oysters to prepare, a leg of pork to roast, game pies and fresh fish to make ready. Wee Maisie must keep the fire in the range from dying down and fetch and carry for the cook. Maggie prepares all the vegetables. Carrots, kale, leeks and potatoes. A fresh pineapple will be served after as a sign of hospitality. Betty has set the table and taken the Master the claret wine for the evening.
All day they have been so busy, not a moment to relax. The great man has arrived and everyone must do their best to see that the dinner is well received.
