After Dinner Drinks

The men retire to the Salon to drink some claret that Sir Fergus has just had imported. Edinburgh folk love claret and Sir Fergus offers his best to Charles Dickens. Grandad McLeod prefers brandy.
The conversation turns to the old town of Edinburgh and the teeming tenements and High Street Luckenbooth stalls along side the High Kirk of St Giles. " Aye!" says Grandad McLeod, "it is said that if you stand at the Tron Kirk for an hour you would be able to shake the hand of ten men of genious! These are enlightened times.
Mr Dickens agrees and tells of his daily walks through the old town where he gets inspiration from the folk he meets.
"Your good health, Sir" cries Sir Fergus " We have enjoyed your company."
