spring?

It seemed like time for a splash of colour. I'm completely clueless when it comes to flowers; all I know is that I really like the structure in this one. Lovely colour too.

It's been amazingly warm here for the last month; today it was warm enough to be outside without a coat. The wind was a little chilly but nothing really. Last Tuesday I was up early for the first flight to London and it was 8°C... at 5am! For comparison, last year at this time there was a think layer of snow and ice on the ground with the last snow not leaving until the end of March.

Note to self: get a proper macro lens
