I was up in the middle of the night and managed to find 2 pieces of broken glass on the floor (luckily not in my foot) - but more of that later.

Despite being in a great mood after watching the Moorhen (or Coot - I can never remember which is which) the Cygnet acted up again at his 'paid for' activity and got hauled out early. He is treading a fine line with his mother ???..

SWMBO and I had words with the staff about items missing from the chalets itinery and the broken glass on the floor - but more of that later.

Swimming was the afternoons' activity - one that the Cygnet loved. SWMBO failed to get a shot of his face under water (taken below the surface) but I might forgive her as she did get some shots with loads of smiling faces above the water.

Later ?????.. After we got back we got a visit from the head of housekeeping about the broken glass and the danger it had posed. So we were given a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates - and tomorrow the 'maid service' will be calling to give the place a really good going over. Can't say fairer than that really.

I wonder what they will do for us if we tell them that the phone isn't working due to the wall socket being knackered.
