Checking on the Humans

This beezle (aka sheep) thinks the humans are very strange, and worthy of a long stare of inspection. So, too, does one of her companions on the left.

We came across this flock of the animals on a splendid country walk across rolling countryside on the edge of the Cotswolds and Wychwood Forest. It was truly a spring day, and an excellent one for a walk. We started in the small town of Charlbury, and walked along the edge of Cornbury Park to the village of Finstock.

Here is our first view of the park, after crossing the railway line and approaching the bridge over the river.

The river is the Evenlode, and it runs just below the boundaries of the Park. Our walk took us well above the river and the railway line. From the higher parts, we had excellent views over quite an extended distance (and we were also able to glimpse the trains running from London to Hereford: both Charlbury and Finstock have stations on this line).

At one point, our path ran between the two rows of trees where I photograped the beezles in my first link The trees, and their shadows, make a fine sight.

No entry this way: this is not the path!
