Lady Godiva

I was driving my daughter back from the stables when I noticed this young woman riding in a field along side the road in the St. Croix River Valley. She and her mare glimmered in the spring light and her golden hair followed the same flowing motion as the tail on the horse. As some have pointed out in their comments, the blue tendon wraps on the mare's ankles coordinated well with the colorful elements of the subjects. It was like watching a well planned dance in a field and the only thing missing was the orchestra.

My eight year old daughter thought it was "silly" that she was riding only in her sports bra. I did not...though I nodded my head up and down. If I were 25 years younger and single, I would still be sitting along side this field waiting for her return.

I played with a antique filter on it as well but I so loved the horse in her red hue:
