Vintage Lovelies

What a lovely wake up (well 3rd wake up, cos the first two were before the sun came up). 3 smiling proud faces, bearing breakfast and handmade cards. Perfect.

This was the first year the girls have attempted breakfast in bed. They'd marked Mothers Day on the calendar weeks ago so they could plan what they would serve up. I got chopped fruit with yoghurt and orange juice. I also got a bit of a wobble-ride as my toddler jumped on the bed throughout the meal. The other two were so impressed with what they'd acheived that they sat and observed every mouthful I took until it was all gone. What a breakfast!

We jumped in the car and went to another vintage fair. Some sort of misunderstanding meant we were there an hour early so we got to sit in the car in a place with no 3g cover while it rained. And rained. It was worth the wait though as we got this lovely vintage birdcage (featured in the blip above). We intend to untilise it in our wedding in some way.... if we dont manage this, it will just be another well loved piece of junk to fill the house with.

Saw my cousin Anthony there too, not seen him for years. His wife has decided to turn her hobby of making kitsch bits and pieces to the next level, so they've set up a little business. She was diagnosed with MS a few years back, but this is something she can do from home at her own pace. I'd not met her until today, she seems nice and very talented.

M's best friend is moving house next week. Her lovely parents have kindly given us their wooden playhouse for the garden. It just needs new roof felt and its good to go. Im so thrilled, the girls will love it. We've wrapped it under a ground sheet to keep it as a suprise. I bet they will have many years of fun with it.

Its both the grandads birthdays next week. We've helped Grandad Brian celebrate his this evening with a takeaway curry. I've got that lovely full sleepy feeling now. I think I may pop!
